Make Cohere North act in Microsoft 365 — safely

Cohere North reasons over your private data to decide what needs to happen — Upware carries those decisions into Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint with a full audit trail and DLP policies enforced at every step.

The gap

Cohere North stops at the Microsoft 365 boundary

Cohere's agents reason over your data, but taking governed, auditable action in systems of record needs a dedicated execution layer.

In practice

From inbox insight to governed action

A procurement agent built on Cohere North monitors supplier communications in Outlook and detects a contract renewal window flagged by a key vendor. It drafts a response and routes it for approval — but rather than write directly to the mailbox, the agent hands the instruction to Upware. Upware replays the exact send-and-file workflow it learned from a human operator, applies your retention and DLP rules, posts an update to the relevant Teams channel, and logs every action with a timestamped audit record. The procurement manager reviews a clean trail in the morning. No mail left unlogged, no policy skipped.

The harness

AI to learn. Deterministic to execute.

Upware learns the process once and encodes it as a mostly-deterministic workflow: system interactions replay exactly, and any LLM steps are wrapped in policy, verification, and audit — so execution stays governed and drift-proof.

O
Observe & Learn
Records the real workflow once, across every system it touches.
G
Generate
Builds the API, data flow, and logic automatically — no integration project.
E
Encapsulate
Wraps it as a governed AI skill over secure MCP or API.
R
Run
Executes deterministically — RBAC, audit, and scale built in.
FAQ

Common questions

Cohere North already connects to Microsoft 365 via Graph API. Why add Upware?
Graph API gives Cohere North read access to data — it does not govern what the agent is allowed to write, send, or post. Upware wraps those write actions in RBAC, policy checks, and a full audit trail. It also handles actions in systems that have no API at all, so the same governed execution layer covers your whole stack, not just the parts Microsoft has exposed.
How does Upware handle DLP and retention obligations when an agent sends mail or updates SharePoint files?
Upware learns the exact workflow a compliant human follows — including the steps that route content through your DLP scanner and apply retention labels before sending or saving. At runtime those steps replay deterministically; the agent cannot skip them. Every action is logged with its policy context, giving your compliance team an auditable record of what was sent, by which agent, under which policy.
What does 'on-prem bridge' mean for a Microsoft 365 deployment, and is our data leaving our environment?
Upware's Bridge Client runs inside your network and communicates outbound only — no inbound ports, no persistent tunnel that exposes your environment. When Upware acts in Microsoft 365 it does so through credentials and sessions that stay within your perimeter. The Upware cloud component orchestrates the instruction; it does not store or process the content of your mail, files, or calendar data.
