Let any AI agent take governed actions in Guidewire

Guidewire is the core platform for P&C policy, billing, and claims. Upware lets your agents act in it safely — deterministic, policy-bounded, and fully audited, without changing the system.

The problem

Why agents stall at Guidewire

Reading Guidewire is the easy part. An AI agent can query a ClaimCenter record or pull a policy summary with a simple API call. But issuing an endorsement, advancing a claims workflow step, or syncing a payment outcome across PolicyCenter and BillingCenter are regulated financial events — each one carrying legal weight, carrier-specific configuration logic, and an audit expectation that a plain LLM call cannot satisfy. Upware wraps those actions in governed execution: it learns the workflow once from the actual desktop interaction, encapsulates it as a policy-enforced AI skill, and replays it deterministically with full attribution and an audit trail, so the agent acts within the rules rather than around them.

Regulated transactions
Policy issuance, endorsements, and claim payments are regulated financial events governed by rules and approvals.
Configured per carrier
Every Guidewire implementation is heavily configured; generic automation breaks on the next rule change.
Multi-module flow
Work spans PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter; an isolated write leaves the others inconsistent.

The harness

AI to learn. Deterministic to execute.

Upware learns the process once and encodes it as a mostly-deterministic workflow: system interactions replay exactly, and any LLM steps are wrapped in policy, verification, and audit — so execution stays governed and drift-proof.

O
Observe & Learn
Records the real workflow once, across every system it touches.
G
Generate
Builds the API, data flow, and logic automatically — no integration project.
E
Encapsulate
Wraps it as a governed AI skill over secure MCP or API.
R
Run
Executes deterministically — RBAC, audit, and scale built in.
FAQ

Common questions

Our Guidewire environment is heavily configured with carrier-specific rules. Won't generic automation break every time we change something?
It's a real concern — and the reason Upware learns your specific Guidewire implementation, not a generic template of it. The Action Model records the actual workflow as it runs in your environment, including your custom fields, approval steps, and routing logic. When your configuration changes, you re-record the affected workflow; the rest stays intact. Because execution replays deterministically against the learned path, there's no fragile script that silently breaks on the next rule change.
How does Upware enforce our underwriting and claims policies when an agent takes action, not just reads data?
Every action an agent can take is encapsulated as a governed AI skill — it cannot call the underlying system directly. Upware applies RBAC, pre-execution policy checks, and post-execution verification before and after each write. For regulated steps like claim payments or endorsement issuance, you define the approval conditions and attribution requirements at the skill level; the agent cannot bypass them. The full action log, including who authorized the run and what changed, is captured in the audit trail.
Guidewire spans PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter. Can an agent safely write across all three without leaving inconsistent state?
Cross-module consistency is exactly where unharnessed agents create risk, because an isolated write to one module can leave the others out of sync in ways that only surface during reconciliation. Upware models the multi-module workflow as a single governed action sequence — it knows the ordering, the cross-system checks, and the rollback conditions. If a step fails mid-flow, the skill surfaces the failure with enough context to resolve it rather than committing a partial update that corrupts the record across modules.
